The timing of this was very poignant
A gentle reminder to all (and to myself) that in a world where you can be anything- be kind.......... and be kinder to yourself
Stop once in a while and look back - not to dwell on the past, but to see how far you have come
Step out of the busy world, take a breath, take a moment, let the quiet wash over you and revitalise you
Speak kindly to yourself, forgive your mistakes, your errors of judgement, your own perfections and standards that you didn't meet, and instead feel gratitude for what has gone well, the things you have achieved and the blessings in your life
Treat yourself to something that lifts your spirits, a new book, alone time in nature, a visit to a friend, or your nails done- whatever works for you- we all deserve happy moments
Write your worries on a piece of paper and then discard them- rip them up, burn them (safely) or bury them and tell them they have no power over you
Sing, dance, stomp around in puddles, whack pillows, laugh at your favourite comedy, bake, run, scream... anything to change your state, to blow away the cobwebs, any sadness or rages
And remember to love yourself, hug yourself and respect yourself- because you are wonderful, unique, irreplaceable and one of a kind
Keep being you, and remember the world loves you for it xxxx
